In 1995, the Art Students League of New York received generous gifts of property and funding from the family of the late artist and League instructor Vaclav Vytlacil for the establishment of the Art Students League's Vytlacil Campus.
Located in historic Sparkill, New York, the Vytlacil Campus is operated by the Art Students League.
The facilities include the restored residence and painting barn of Vaclav Vytlacil. The house/library/gallery is an historic property and an example of Victorian/Gothic architecture. The studios include the Trudy & Henry Gillette north lit painting barn, the newly built sculpture studio which includes a foundry, smithing and welding facilities, a large walk-in kiln and a complete studio to pursue all sculptural endeavors.
The beautiful property is on 15 acres of wooded grounds near the west bank of the Hudson River, south of the Tappan Zee Bridge, and less than an hour's drive from Manhattan.
